Join Rod Roddenberry for a post Thanksgiving Runyon Canyon hike to walk off that extra piece of holiday pie while we explore some of our favorite hiking trails.
We will meet at the gate just beyond 1870 Runyon Canyon Rd. to begin our hiking adventure. There are several scenic overlook points in Runyon Canyon that offer amazing views of city. On a clear day you can often see from downtown Los Angeles to Venice Beach and beyond.
This is a moderate-difficult hike, and will take approximately two-hours. We will be taking an off trail path that has numerous inclines and boulders through rough terrain. Strollers and other wheeled carriers are not recommended. Pets are welcome.
We will begin the hike at 10:00am and should return around 12:00pm. After the hike we may grab some lunch at a nearby restaurant (everyone will be responsible for paying for their own lunch). Make sure you have a good set of running shoes when visiting Runyon Canyon as the terrain is steep and unpaved in many areas. If you have any questions about this event contact us at adventures@roddenberry.com.
We look forward to seeing you at this Roddenberry Adventures event!
There is little-to-no parking available at Runyon Canyon so pay attention to the signs posted and park where you are allowed or you may get ticketed.
There is usually plenty of parking nearby on Curson Place a few blocks west of Vista near Wattles Garden Park. You can walk through the Wattles Park walkway to our meeting location. Wattles Garden Park pin point map.
The hike will begin promptly at 10:00am. We will meet at the gate near 1870 Runyon Canyon Road to begin and end our adventure. See maps below.
