Trek Nation: A Night With Rod Roddenberry
There will be a presentation with Rod Roddenberry at the beginning of the evening followed by a Q&A after the screening. In addition, a raffle drawing for a chance to win a Klingon Bat’leth Prop Replica and other fun prizes. Ticket price includes admission to San Diego Museum of Photographic Art (net proceeds will benefit MOPA). Before the screening, check out the current exhibition, 7 billion Others. Gene Roddenberry, The Creator of Star Trek, also known as “The Great Bird of the Galaxy” passed away in 1991. His son Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, Jr. was only 17 years old. As a teenage, he never knew the impact his father had on the world, but as a man he’ll find out.
Trek Nation, is a feature-length film documenting Rod’s trek across America to understand who his father was through the touchstones Gene left behind: His Friends, His Family, His Work, and His Influence. Including surprising, revelatory conversations with actors, fans, NASA personnel, entertainment-industry leaders and other prominent figures, Trek Nation is a film that explores one of life’s most universal stories – the discovery of a parent.
After a desperate criminal takes a bar hostage, six victims work to survive only to reveal that one of them is keeping a secret that could change everything in an instant.
Tickets cost $8.24 each. Ticket price includes admission to San Diego Museum of Photographic Art and raffle ticket. The net proceeds of the event will benefit MOPA.

MOPA is located in beautiful Balboa Park in the Casa de Balboa building, along with the Model Railroad Museum and the San Diego History Center.
